New era of Lion Dance

Chinese New Year will not be complete without Lion Dance. This tradition are still been practice by the modern Chinese community during Chinese New Year. For those Chinese family who is afford to pay "ang-pow" (token) to the lion group, they will allow the lion group to perform in their resident. This will attract local crowd especially the childern to enjoy the performance of this group. In tourism point of view, the Lion dance can be one of the atraction in any function. For the tourist this will be more excited if they allow to try how to perform the dance or playing the music. Good experience will give them memorable stay in our country.

Pipus (smoke fish)

Have you seen this? In Melanau dialect it called PIPUS. Its my favorite food and I never miss buying this if go travelling. It only can be found in Mukah. According to reliable source pipus easily can be found during monsoon season. The rational behind this was, in monsoon season fishermen were not able to go to the sea and they have to depend with pipus as their food.
They normally will smoke the fish and punch it into smaller pieces before wrap it with sago leaf. Then they will continue to smoke it again so that they can keep it for longer period. Pipus is a good partner of beer.....

Manna Curry Chicken Rice

Today I having lunch with my friend at newly discovered free wifi cafe at level 5 Wisma Sanyan. This cafe known as Manna Cafe. I had one plate of curry chicken, the taste also not bad with reasonable cost.

A friend of mine have introduce me this place. I like the set up inside this cafe. The cafe owner also provide one pc for their customer to check their e-mail for free. At least there are few places like this for us to relax while enjoying our meal and at the same time browsing the internet.
